Literary Agent

Lauren joined FinePrint Literary in 2025 as an Associate Agent following an internship at Triada US Literary Agency. She first entered the publishing world as an author. Prior to transitioning to agenting, she worked for over seven years as a corporate lawyer in New York City. Lauren brings both editorial and transactional expertise to her clients.

An avid reader across genres, Lauren is particularly interested in adult and YA commercial fiction, especially women’s fiction, romance, mysteries, and thrillers, as well as select non-fiction titles. She is an editorial agent with a strong interest in developing fulfilling and long-lasting careers for her authors.

Lauren will be open to queries via Query Tracker this summer!

MSWL

While Lauren is open to most genres, she is especially interested in the following:

Adult Fiction

Contemporary romance, romcoms full of witty banter, and sweeping love stories

  • In general, I need romance “plus” so think beyond a cookie cutter, predictable romance and send me something smart with a strong female lead and a compelling hook that makes me feel something more.

  • For romcoms, give me Emily Henry style banter!

  • Nora Ephron is my idol and I would love to read anything related to or inspired by her films (or anything in the realm of Nancy Meyers for that matter). Think You, Again.

  • I’d love to find an epic, sweeping love story in my inbox (think Talking At Night, Broken Country, One Day) as well as a nostalgic, music-focused romance in the vein of Deep Cuts or Maybe Once, Maybe Twice

  • I love famous person/normal person romances in the vein of Funny You Should Ask or anything set in the entertainment world like Romantic Comedy or How To Fake It In Hollywood.

  • Send me a dynamic sports romance like The Favorites or a story set in the world of professional tennis (I have a longstanding, not-so-secret crush on Djokovic and watch all of his matches) or golf.

  • Think: Emily Henry, Carley Fortune, Elissa Sussman, Christina Lauren, Anabel Monaghan, Julia Whelan, Jasmine Guillory, Katherine Center, Yulin Kuang

Thrillers

  • I’m looking for all types of thrillers, mysteries, and suspense, from upmarket/literary to commercial/psychological.

  • Give me fast-paced, twisty thrillers with a satisfying ending! I love an unreliable narrator (The Silent Patient), a con artist (The Lies I Tell), a cult (The Last Housewife, The Last Session), a biblical twist (True Detective Season 1), true crime podcasts (Listen for the Lie), secret societies (Society of Lies), and really anything that will keep me from going to sleep.

  • Think: Lisa Jewell, Riley Sager, Kate Alice Marshall, Ashley Winstead, Stacy Willingham, Mary Kubica, Ruth Ware, Julia Bartz, Sally Hepworth, Jennifer Hillier, Megan Abbott, Lucy Foley, Liz Moore, Julie Clark, Liv Constantine, Gillian Flynn

Women’s fiction

  • I am actively looking for a manuscript that fills the gaping, Elin Hilderbrand-sized beach read hole in my summer!

  • I love familial relationships and ensemble casts, especially those involving sister dynamics.

  • Think: Elin Hilderbrand, Rebecca Serle, Jill Santopolo, Kristin Hannah, Emily Giffin, Liane Moriarty, Lauren Weisberger

Upmarket and book club fiction

  • Give me books that make me think, laugh, and weep all in one sitting, like The Wedding People and Margo’s Got Money Troubles.

  • Think: Taylor Jenkins Reid, Alison Espach, Gabrielle Zevin

Fantasy

  • Send me a sweeping, epic tale that keeps me up all night (The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue) and dark academia blending fantasy and reality (Ninth House)

  • Think: V.E. Schwab, Sarah J. Maas, Rebecca Yarros, R.F. Kuang

In general

  • I love an immersive setting / setting as a character, especially when the setting is New York City, beach or lake towns (think the Hamptons, Outer Banks, Elin Hilderbrand’s Nantucket, and Carley Fortune’s Barry’s Bay), Italy, and elsewhere abroad. I loved how All That Life Can Afford transported me to London and St. Tropez. I also went to school with a gothic campus in the south so I love a marshy southern setting (think Stacy Willingham) and an immersive campus / dark academia / boarding school or university vibe.

  • I love stories about rich people (Crazy Rich Asians) especially when they’re behaving badly (White Lotus, Your Friends and Neighbors, Saltwater) and have a sibling dynamic (Park Avenue, Succession).

  • Give me books set in the restaurant world (The Bear, Blue Bistro, Sweetbitter), literary world (Book Lovers, Yellowface), and art world (The Cloisters, Tell Them You Lied)

  • Give me stories that revolve around music like Daisy Jones and the Six and Broadway stories like Once More With Feeling.

Adult Non-Fiction

  • Non-alcoholic lifestyle/sober curiosity (Quit Like A Woman, Drinking Games)

  • Chefs and restaurants

  • Rock and roll ala Meet Me in the Bathroom

  • Pop culture deep dives (I’ll Have What She’s Having, Sex and the City and Us)

  • Broadway/theatre

  • Parenting

  • Personal development

  • Nutrition and wellness

  • Astrology

  • Spirituality

  • Travel

  • Impactful memoir

  • True crime

  • Law, business, and finance

Young Adult Fiction

Romance, romcoms, and coming of age

  • If it’s giving The Summer I Turned Pretty, I want to read it.

  • Think: Jenny Han, Lynn Painter, Sarah Dessen

Thriller/suspense/mystery

  • Think: One Of Us Is Lying, We Were Liars, The Legacies

Fantasy

  • Think: The Atlas Six, Divine Rivals, Sarah J. Maas
